Today we drove through 5 states - NH, MA, CT, NY, NJ. Weather was off and on rain showers and sun; it got better as we moved south. Down through Concord, Worcester, Hartford, across the Hudson on the Tappan Zee bridge and on down to Madison. After checking in at the Madison Hotel (the nicest place on our trip, by a long shot), we went over to Drew and walked around campus to see what was new. We we there from 1999 thru 2001 ."The Forest" is still the beautiful place we remembered! Just a few blocks from campus, enjoyed a wonderful Italian dinner at Jannelli's and then the movies right next door (Saw "Trouble With the Curve" - loved it!)
Spent some time this evening figuring out the train/subway schedules so we can find our way around Manhattan tomorrow. The Midtown Direct stops right here at the hotel so we won't take the car. We'll be back here tomorrow night.
