Today we drove across northern Vermont and New Hampshire, and on into Waterville, Maine. In spite of the overcast, the fall foliage is spectacular! (You'll have to trust me because the photos just don't do it!) Our day began with a ferry crossing on Lake Champlain, from Plattsburgh, NY to Burlington, VT. The lake is said to have its own "Nessy" (called "Champ") but we didn't see it! We stopped by the bottom of the Mt. Washington Road in Gorham, NH but since the top was covered in clouds, we didn't drive up. Besides, we'd done that before at least twice. I must admit I was bit homesick for New Hampshire.. ..but no too much! The fall colors, the smell of fall in the air, the bumpy country roads.............Haven't seen any moose either. Church architecture continues to be of interest.
Looking at the pics makes me feel homesick too. :( Loving the pictures of the churches! Maybe you can make a collage when you get home, like the license plate one.
